"As the son and grandson of physicians, I always knew that I wanted to become a doctor. I just couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I grew up with the notion that it is a privilege and honor to be able to do something that helps others.“In medical school, I found myself drawn to surgery, because it is the direct resolution of a problem. I also found that I liked the technical challenge of vascular surgery and found it satisfying... and the specialty in which I could make a difference in people’s lives. But what remained unsatisfying was the surgical ‘stripping’ procedure used to treat varicose veins.“When the new minimally invasive procedure first became available, I wanted to be able to provide the care that could provide excellent results, with far less hassle. A decade-plus later, I’m proud to have been able to help thousands of patients. And I remain committed to leading with a sense of compassion and to providing the most complete, appropriate and effective care for varicose and spider veins.”
